Savory Pies – February 5th, 2017 (10am-1pm)

Do you love pot pies on a cold winter evening? We sure do, and for the first time we’re sharing the secrets to making our elusive pot pies! In this class, you’ll learn to make crust, roll out your dough, select and prepare ingredients, make a delicious sauce to go inside your pot pie, top and flute your pie, and finally, how to properly bake your pie (this seems basic but is an important and oft-overlooked step.) There will also be snacks!

You will need to bring:
-Clothes you don’t mind getting flour on (we’ll provide aprons but stuff happens…)
-Closed-toed shoes (we’re in a professional commercial kitchen, guys!)
-A can-do attitude (you’ll be a pro in no time!)

You will go home with:
-A disk of dough to use at a later date
-A veggie tartlet to snack on later
-A pot pie to serve approximately 4 people (veggie and meat options will both be available. please let us know what you’d prefer in the “notes” section of the checkout page so that we can have enough ingredients available.)

This class will take place on  from 10am-1pm at our kitchen, which is located at 2501 Phelps Street in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood. You can park on the street or at the Foods Co. next door.
