Giving Thanks

Hi y’all!

Yes, we know.  It’s been a while since we blogged, so obvi there’s a lot to cover.  (Like our freezing cold bodies – what is with this weather? We actually had to close the shipping container today – a first for The Babes – because the rain just wouldn’t stop!)  But we digress…First of all, we’d like to thank all of our friends, fans, and family members for all the support over the past few weeks.  (And to anyone who will listen, we’re sorry for the crazy.  Seriously.) We remodeled the shipping container (thanks to everyone over at Stable Cafe and  Lila B for the help!)  We also got our interview/demo on for the Cooking Channel’s Unique Sweets, launched our community involvement initiative, and are working on opening our new kitchen/walkup retail space in Cole Valley in a few weeks (it will be in the old Ashbury Market spot and will be shared with the Bacon Bacon guys).

Oh yeah, and did we mention that Thanksgiving is in four days?  No?  Well, it is, and we’re baking like you wouldn’t believe.  But we’re also doing our best to step away from the pie crusts and celebrate, because we have so much to be thankful for.  Like all of the new bakery babes who have come on board to help in our kitchen, and our plants (Linda, Steve, Pat Benetar – we love you all), the Turducken that 4505 Meats is selling, and how much we love our moms.  And if you’re the practical type (a regular Peggy Practical, if you would) we think you’ll be pleased to hear that we’ve got a new heater for the shipping container.  Something for everybody – that’s what we try to give.
